Written by TeamQuetzal at 20:00 10/4-2017

Hello everyone and welcome to the Late Show with Johnathan Hernández!!

  Races

We have a lot to cover people, since we have Friday and the weekend to inform. Let´s start of course with last Friday, were Norway Tour stage 7 and 8 were ridden. Stage 7 was a Time-Trial that was taken by Hüsnü Dilmen from Manisasipor. Santos Marquina from Abelixe took the second place and the third place was occupied by Janar Tupits from CC Est. Stage 8 was Gudvagen-Lillehammer, which is the king stage. The 205 km terribly looking mountain stage. Stage 7 winner also won this stage. Mauritio Zerbino from Alpine took the second place. Czech rider Zdislav Kyncl took the honor place. Sunday saw the Russian Top Division race Moscow Red Square take place. The latter was taken by Rene Schimmel from Team Majones. Christopher Gouffroy and Foncho Reto complete the podium. We also saw the end of Norway Tour. Tour sprint finale was taken by Puntsagosor Badulzii from CC Est. Second place was taken by the Peter Sagan of this tour, Hi Lijun from Mark Pro Team. Elton Moncur took the third place. Hüsnü Dilmen took the tour with one minute twenty-nine ahead of Sylvan Breton and two minutes thirty from third place Mitch Watkins. Hu Lijun took the SC with 124 points. YC was taken by 3rd place Mitch Watkins. And yesterday we saw two classics: Bergen Rundtur which was taken by British rider Gresham Judkins from Glamourade. Spots 2 and 3 were taken by Darie Mitu and Neck Agerskkold (you can´t imagine the work on writing this names) respectively. Second classic was Critérium La Grasse. Erwin Rolfes took it in front of Aidan Randall and Edi Bacilleri. Oh, and Cymru Taith also started with stage 1 been taken by Elbert Zenden from Drake Racing. Aleksander Hetland and American Ethan Bird completed the podium.

  Talk Segment

Ladies and gentlemen please welcome from Il Grillo, the one, the only: Stoosh!
JHDZ: To start it off Stoosh, how are you?
STOOSH: I'm great, team doing better than I ever thought was possible with a YA team. IRL I became a father, which is also amazing.
JHDZ: Wow! That´s amazing! Congratulations! And tell me, how did you join OCM?
STOOSH: I typed my name in the register square.
No seriously, I was playing Hattrick and buzzer beater at that time, and since cycling is my favorite sport for watching IRL (and mostly the only) , I figured I should play a cycling manager game.
JHDZ: Why did you start a fully national team?
STOOSH: For many seasons before I had played with the same philosophy, climbers and hillers, which was fun at first because I had hillers before it even made sense to train them (as all HL race went BA), and then it started to work so in my mind I kinda invented hilling (others may feel differently). But as I refused to f5 at a deadline of tours I never rode them. My team reached a maximum that I could only break if spent much more time. Which I didn’t want... because RL always comes first for me. So, I decided I needed a new challenge. So I sold all non-Dutch riders and also started a cobble team, while keeping the hillers and climbers.
JHDZ: Are you really from Holland?
  STOOSH: Jazeker
JHDZ: Have you ever wanted to leave OCM?
STOOSH: Sure, I thought actually when my wife turned out to be pregnant I would have quit by now. And before I had many moments where I considered quitting. I use an excel sheet to plan races, and I'm quite efficient. I can play 2 mins a day for weeks, and then do a planning session at a moment of my choosing. I only visit the forum when I have spare time...
JHDZ: Congratulations again on being a father Stoosh! I also can guess I am lucky that you answered this long-ass interview. Anyway, what do you like the most, forum or chat?
STOOSH: Forum, as normally I only look for things that I think are really interesting, or useful to me. This is not a social thing for me, even though I like 99% percent of the people here a lot!
JHDZ: Who is your favorite OCM rider?
STOOSH: (long silence) Osvaldo Beyer. In my initial team was Frank van Galen who was in terms of stats the best Climber I have ever had, only slightly less than Ame Anderberg. He brought my team quickly to the top. There I chose to train Hillers simply because I like hillers even though it wasn't supposed to return the cost. His stats weren’t even huge, he had 70-something HL with decent side stats. But he won many races for a few seasons, and I had the best HL team (in my mind).
JHDZ: And your favorite OCM Manager?
STOOSH: Pff impossible question... I have a lot of respect for team like Silver Giant, Burren Connemara and Wonderdee who set themselves challenges and are still successful.
JHDZ: Have you got any idol? A famous person you admire?
STOOSH: It's not in my nature to admire people, rather I admire deeds... I do have a weak spot for Paolo Bettini, my team is named Il Grillo (the cricket, his nickname) for a good reason as he put emotion into his sport and was an attractive rider (attacked a lot)
JHDZ: Any plans for the future of Il Grillo?
STOOSH: Well first aim is going a season without dropping into div 2 for a few races. I also want to win a first div classic with this YA team.... dunno what will happen if I reach my ceiling with the YA team... My pride thinks I should give top 3/5 a shot as I think I might make it this time (It might be easier now), maybe even with a Dutch team. Maybe I find this game takes time away from my son and I quit...

JHDZ: Ladies and gentlemen, a big applause for Stoosh! Congrats again on being a father! That is so amazing! If you have any suggestions or want to be a guest please leave a comment or PM, I answer to all messages.
